friend ... a Friend of the
Detroit River!
Your membership will determine our success as an environmental
non-profit organization. Our very existence depends on interested and
impassioned citizens like you, who care about what's left of our natural
environment. These are especially difficult times for the environmental
movement in the state of Michigan. Absent a sense of urgency and our best
efforts, our natural environment will continue to be rapidly diminished.
Friends of the Detroit River is bringing together many talented,
dedicated, knowledgeable, caring, and influential citizens into our ranks.
We are very vocal and active in opposing the development of the Humbug
Marsh, and have helped win its first battle. We are also engaged in long
range goals and have organized task forces to meet the challenges ahead.
I know that you would like to help in any way that you can.
We will be in touch with you on a regular basis and involve you in our
activities in a meaningful way.
